Summary:

We are currently hiring for the position of full-time (8 hour shifts, 32 hours(4 days) per week) Pharmacist -IC Pharmacy Operations at our headquarters located in Murfreesboro, TN. This position is responsible for preparing and administering appropriate pharmaceuticals to patients, either by executing a physician’s order or by addressing the patient’s problems and needs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Coordinate with medical professionals to facilitate referrals including direct involvement in clinical management and care of both internal and external customers. To assess clinical appropriateness of each patient order by conducting drug utilization reviews, assessing diagnosis, allergies, potential contraindications and adverse reactions. Also, assist other clinical staff to ensure the consistency and accuracy of all prescriptions dispensed.
• Prepare and dispense appropriate pharmaceuticals to patients, either by executing a
• Physician’s order or by addressing the patient’s problems and needs, this may include verbal orders over the phone from physicians and other health care providers.
• Provide oversight of the pharmacy technicians during dispensing and assist pharmacy manager with all pharmacy operations. Provide comprehensive initial consultation and therapy management for all complex disease states.
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor's in pharmacy degree from an accredited university – RPh or DPh required. PharmD preferred. Active, unrestricted pharmacist license in TN required. Must also have an active, unrestricted license in LA and AR, or condition to be licensed in these states.

Experience: 2 years’ experience in a pharmacy setting required, specialty or infusion pharmacy preferred. Home Infusion or Hospital IV room experience required for Infusion Pharmacist. Must have experience in lab assessments and ability to provide dosing recommendations specific to Infusion, Sterile Compounding, Specialty Medications, side effects, assessments and therapy
management. Experience with pharmacy software, CADD pumps or similar and MS Office required.
