FT Medical Assistant (MA) - Infusion Center - Louisville, KY

The TwelveStone Infusion Centers LLC, manages the Infusion needs of patient’s and maintains the continuum of care, from intake, assessment, and treatment through the completion of their visit. Our primary focus is the safe and effective administration of biologic medications (e.g., Remicade, Tysabri, etc.), but we also offer a full range of infusion services including, but not limited to, antibiotics, hydration, vitamins, iron, and steroids. On occasion there is a need for sterile dressing changes and lab draws.

We are currently hiring for a full-time Medical Assistant position for our infusion center located in Louisville, KY. This position is responsible for providing support to the infusion center by performing clerical and administrative duties, assisting with clinical duties and greeting incoming patients, while supporting and demonstrating TwelveStone’s values and philosophies in the accomplishment of our mission. This position is not eligible for telework. Anticipated work schedule will be 7:30am - 4:00pm.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Sets up, cleans, and disinfects exam rooms and medical equipment and maintains stock of medications and medical supplies. Practices safety, environmental, and/or infection control methods.
  • Schedule patient appointments. Receive and sort mail, scan documents, etc.
  • Collects data from patients, including insurance information, demographics, and home medication lists.
  • Verifies benefits prior to Infusion Center appointments.
  • Collects Out of Pocket/Co-insurance payments from patients.
  • Greets patients and families, answer phone calls and direct calls to appropriate person. Check in patients for the infusion center appointments.
  • Must report to work on time, maintain acceptable attendance and perform other duties as assigned.
  • Provide coverage Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week.

The successful candidate will possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

Education: High school diploma or GED required. Certified as a Medical Assistant preferred.

Experience: One – two years of MA experience in a medical field required. Experience in a medical office preferred. Must be proficient in the use of MS office and medical EMR.
