We currently have openings for 2 Patient Care Technician 1 positions in the Murfreesboro area.

Summary: This position is responsible for all prescription data entry and order processing with the primary goal to service patients within our Infusion Centers (IC’s). This includes processing new Rx’s and refilling current Rx’s for patients scheduled to receive infusions. This person must be able to multitask between different communication streams and software systems.

Responsibilities:

• Enter medication order for new referrals. Prepare refills for subsequent visits based on Infusion Center schedules. Communicate with IC pharmacists and technicians and infusion center staff to keep IC’s running smoothly.
• Contact physicians’ office requesting new orders, labs, and pre-medications as needed. Troubleshoot within department as needed. Collaborate with other departments to provide excellent quality care for our patients.
• Assist in creation and updating of policies, procedures and special projects.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education: High school diploma or GED required. A current, unrestricted pharmacy technician license in the state of practice, and pharmacy technician certification required.

Experience: Two years’ experience in a pharmacy setting preferred. Home Infusion pharmacy experience required. Prior managerial experience a plus. Must be proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
